gnomoradio.org

Gnomoradio is currently available in source form only, as a development release. The source should compile and run on any UNIX-compatible system that GNOME runs on. If you are new to free software and you are looking to try it out, I recommend that you install the Debian GNU/Linux operating system.

As an added note, we welcome any help in making binary packages of the software for various platforms. Please see our development page.

Gnomoradio depends upon the following pieces of software, which must be installed to compile or use Gnomoradio:

• gtk+, as well as all libraries it depends on (glib, atk, pango, and image loaders).
• libsigc++ 2.0
• glibmm 2.4, gtkmm 2.4, and gconfmm 2.6
• libxml++ 2.6
• libao
• libvorbis (optional, but highly recommended for OGG support)
• g++ 3.0 or higher is required for status icons to work

Thanks to Riccardo Setti, there is now a package of Gnomoradio in Debian unstable. Just run the command:

# apt-get install gnomoradio

To install the pieces of software needed to compile source on Debian unstable, run the following command as root:

# apt-get install libxml++2.6-dev libgtkmm-2.4-dev libgconfmm-2.6-dev libao-dev libvorbis-dev

Matt has also packaged Gnomoradio for Gentoo, and it is included in the distribution. You should be able to emerge the package through some sort of command.
